On Monday, April 23, 2018, a 4-month renovation of the Seminole greens and bunkers began at Indian Hills Country Club. This is the second of three 9-hole renovations to take place at the club. Once complete, the green complexes will have a completely new look and the bunkers will have a different motif on each of the nine holes. The new Seminole bunkers will have grassed contours rolling into flatter bottom bunkers, compared to Choctaw bunkers which have high sand flashing on the slopes. New drainage has been installed as well. Along with moving several bunkers, grass hollows have been incorporated into some green complexes. With the newly disturbed area extending beyond the outside of old bunkers, the transition to the new bunkers and greens is seamless. As of June 21, the construction phase of the project was completed. Now, the greens will be immaculately cared for a 10 week grow-in phase. The target date for reopening is Labor Day weekend.
