Employees Run for a Great Cause!

9/15/2017

Every year, Habitat for Humanity events take place all over the nation in order to raise money and build homes for deserving families. One of the events held locally is the Habitat Road Race, which Indian Hills Country Club has proudly supported since 2010. Each year, several employees volunteer for the building of the new home and run in the race (usually with their dogs as this is a pup-friendly event!)

This year, the road race will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Mt. Bethel UMC starting at 7:30am. The day begins with Peter’s Mile Fun Run at 7:30am. The 5k begins at 8am, and the Habitot Trot for children ages five and under is inside on the track immediately following the 5K. There will be music, refreshments, a moonbounce for children, a silent auction, and an awards ceremony for top participants! This year, the Yaee family will earn a new home that will help them find stability for generations to come thanks to the runners, builders, and donors for Habitat for Humanity.

Employees may sign up to run by emailing Ashley O'Neil at [email protected]. If you’d like information on build dates, please visit http://nwmetroatlantahabitat.org/get-involved/upcoming-volunteer-opportunities/
