In this season of thankfulness and heartwarming moments, we lift up and celebrate with Indian Hills Country Club Bartender Christina Byrd. A dedicated and passionate employee, Christina never fails to live up to the IHCC motto, even in the midst of frightening and trying times in her personal life. We are blessed to serve a country club that fosters such strong community among its employees.

The IHCC motto is: Be courteous and greet each member with a smile. Earlier this year, I entered the doors each day tired and stressed. My mind was consumed with thoughts of how I was going to make it through major heart surgery at the age of 38. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to keep up a brave front. I soon realized I did not have to.
As people found out I was sick, I began to feel at ease because I was surrounded by my IHCC family. I have thought back over the last 6 years trying to figure out how I ended up in Marietta, Georgia surrounded by such genuine, good, salt of the earth people. I am often left tearful and speechless because I am not sure what I have done to deserve such a wonderful work family.
The past few months, I have been overwhelmed with gratitude, love, and support from everyone. I will never be able to truly articulate what my IHCC family truly means to me, but I will end by saying, “THANK YOU” for carrying me when I did not have the strength to walk on my own. I will forever hold each of you deep in my heart. Happy Holidays!
