Summary:

Indian Hills Country Club of Marietta, GA is looking for an experienced Service Manager (Food and Beverage). The Service Manager manages and supervises the entire service staff, conducts initial and continuing training, and oversees the scheduling and execution of service on a daily basis. 

Description:

The service manager is responsible for the planning and executing of private functions at the Club.  The employee must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, common sense, and flexibility.

The Service Manager must be extremely positive and knowledgeable of the overall functions of the club and able to monitor these functions on a day-to-day basis.  Member relations are a most important part of this position.  The employee will also assist in the preliminary steps of booking private functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  This position requires the employee to have excellent people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both members and staff. Because the employee in this position deals in member relations, good grooming and social skills are a necessity. The employee should have knowledge of food and beverage and fine dining steps in service.  The employee should have experience in room set-up and breakdown. The employee must be familiar with inventory control and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Training:  The employee must have a minimum of a high school education, preferably with some college or a college degree, and a minimum of two years of food and beverage experience, with at least one of those years in a management position.

The flexibility to works evenings, weekends and holidays is essential. The candidate must have valid driver’s license for company business.

The employee must have knowledge of all kitchen operations including butchering, sauté, broiler, and garde manger.  The employee must be proficient in all aspects of food preparation and handling, sanitation and safety considerations as well as basic kitchen equipment maintenance and operation.  This position requires a willingness to learn as well as the ability to carry out instructions in a productive and timely manner.  This position requires the employee to have sufficient proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure that job responsibilities are performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner.

  7. Keeps informed of members and member changes.

  11. Follows the same procedures when working the outside turn grill for the golfers.
  12. Performs other work as required.

Assistant Golf Pro

Summary:

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting the Golf Professional in all golf operations at Indian Hills Country Club and reports directly to the Golf Professional.  The Assistant Golf Professional is expected to assist in planning, coordinating and executing all programs, events and tournaments that fall within the positions functional areas.  The Assistant Golf Professional is also responsible to lead, manage and supervise all personnel, supplies and equipment assigned.

Description:

Experience Required:  The Assistant Golf Professional should have some experience in golf course operations; and experience as well as a knowledge of the golf swing and teaching experience.
 
Essential Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and teach the junior golf program including, but not limited to, the Junior Golf Team; Summer mini-camps; Interclub Season; and creation and implementation of new year round programs to continuously enhance the clubs overall junior program
  • Leads and manages the Outside Golf Operation to include the cart attendants, starters, and marshals.
  • Oversees and assists in the general cleanliness and neatness of golf shop.
  • Assists in the general merchandising of the golf shop, including: purchasing, receiving, pricing, inventory, selling, and display.
  • Plans and schedules golf clinics.
  • Oversees the handicap operation.

Golf Cart/Bag Attendants
