Futren Corporation has long promoted to its employees the importance of “giving back” to their community, in exchange for the community environment that has provided them employment, education, and a place to raise their families. Futren’s employees take great pleasure in helping others. Some raise funds to provide bicycles to the recipients of Cobb Christmas and assist with the distribution of Christmas gifts from the community, create birthday celebrations for the children of Cobb Family Resources, help the Atlanta Food Bank distribute food and necessities, and the list goes on. Some volunteer their time to help community organizations operate more efficiently by participating on various committees and boards. Futren’s employees recognize that they can be a direct link to the health of their community by their personal commitment to be involved.
