Summary:

Description:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all members and their guests.
  • Ensure proper member and guest check-in and fee collection
  • Keep the Pro Shop in a neat and orderly condition
  • Assist in the pricing of merchandise and inventory control.
  •  Follow daily opening and closing procedure in an orderly manner.
  • Answer telephones
  • Assist with Tournament Operations as needed
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Retail experience helpful and preferred, including experience using a computerized cash register. Experience working with the public, preferably in a golf course setting, but not required.
The flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. The candidate must be determined to be fully qualified to operate a motor vehicle on company business. The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions (in English) and procedures.

Summary:

Indian Hills Country Club of Marietta, GA is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Director.   The Food and Beverage Director assists the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse and is in charge of the Clubhouse and its operation in the absence of the General Manager.  This position calls for independent judgments, discretion, and the ability to lead by example, to develop pride and teamwork within the organization, and to supervise in a fair and consistent manner.

Description:

The following examples of work are general statements of typical responsibilities for this position.  They are not and should not be interpreted as a complete itemization of responsibilities, as every employee is always expected to perform any task, which may be assigned to accommodate the needs of the club.

The Food and Beverage Director should have a thorough knowledge of food and beverage, including menu planning, demonstrated by past performance.  They must also thoroughly understand food and labor costs; have a thorough knowledge of ordering, purchasing, and comparing products; and be able to motivate staff to perform effectively and efficiently under both normal and stressful conditions.

In addition, the employee should be well organized with good time management skills and possess the ability to be detail-oriented.  Should possess excellent human relations skills demonstrated by tact, diplomacy, and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people, positions, and personalities.

The employee must have a minimum of a high school education, preferably with some college or a college degree, and a minimum of six years of food and beverage experience, with at least one and a half of those years as a F&B Manager at another dining establishment or six months exemplary service at the F&B Manager level in a Futren Club.

Additional Requirements: The flexibility to works evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.  The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions (in English) and procedures.
 

 

Service Manager

Summary:

Indian Hills Country Club looking for an experienced Service Manager (Food and Beverage).

Description:

The Service Manager manages and supervises the entire service staff, conducts initial and continuing training, and oversees the scheduling and execution of service on a daily basis.  The service manager is responsible for the planning and executing of private functions at the Club.  The employee must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, common sense, and flexibility.

The Service Manager must be extremely positive and knowledgeable of the overall functions of the club and able to monitor these functions on a day-to-day basis.  Member relations are a most important part of this position.  The employee will also assist in the preliminary steps of booking private functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  This position requires the employee to have excellent people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both members and staff. Because the employee in this position deals in member relations, good grooming and social skills are a necessity. The employee should have knowledge of food and beverage and fine dining steps in service.  The employee should have experience in room set-up and breakdown. The employee must be familiar with inventory control and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Training:  The employee must have a minimum of a high school education, preferably with some college or a college degree, and a minimum of two years of food and beverage experience, with at least one of those years in a management position.
 The flexibility to works evenings, weekends and holidays is essential. The candidate must have valid driver’s license for company business.

This position requires excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to coordinate details and prioritize work on a daily and weekly basis.  A memory for names and faces is essential. 
 
Education, Experience, and Training:  The candidate should hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, hospitality, a related field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Prior sales, marketing, or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.
 
The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions (in English) and procedures. The Membership Administrative Assistant will be required to work holidays, nights and weekends as necessary. Part-time will be 15-20 hours per week.
