Paying Our Civic Rent

Futren Hospitality has long promoted the importance of giving back to their community. Chairman James L. Rhoden, Jr. coined the phrase "paying your civic rent" to describe the act of repaying the community for what it has given you.

Futren's employees take great pride in helping others. Some raise funds to provide bicycles to the recipients of Cobb Christmas and assist with the distribution of Christmas gifts from the community, create birthday celebrations for the children of Cobb Family Resources, help the Atlanta Food Bank distribute food and necessities, and the list goes on. Some volunteer their time to help community organizations by participating on various committees and boards. Futren’s employees recognize that they can be a direct link to the health of their community by their personal commitment to be involved.

Futren Hopitality is involved in the following organizations: Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Community Foundation, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Marietta Rotary Club, Shepherd's Men supporting the SHARE Initiative, MUST Ministries, Boy Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, and many more.
